Transpersonal sexuality
Since the ancient ages, the oriental mystic traditions such as tantra and Tao remind us the importance of conscious eroticism, raised to Art level, for spiritual evolution o human beings and longevity.
In the clinical setting, we agree on the value of sexuality for well being and psychological evolution, as well as physical health. However in modern society, sex phobic even though pornographic, there is a reserve to confront with this subject, both in public and in the private space of the couple. The consequences are a widespread impreparation about it, with deleterious effect in every aspect.
We therefore think that a new effort is necessary, at an educational level even before the therapeutic level, to support the erotic union as an archetypical event essential for human evolution.
Haven and hearth are meeting when a man and a woman join together, a sacred event unifying mind and body, soul and matter, light and shadow, love and sex.
