Wisdom Therapy Applied to Organizational & Corporate Environments
This presentation will review the components and training methods of Wisdom Therapy (www.wisdomtherapy.com) and how they can be applied to reducing anger, anxiety, and stress at home and at work. Among those components are Cogntive Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Intelligence, Mindfulness Meditation, and the active cultivation of Humility. Although several components of wisdom are positively correlated with age, it's possible to learn many aspects of wisdom sooner rather than later. Organizational consulting applications will be discussed as well as outcome research of those applications involving reductions of anger and anxiety and increases in productivity, conflict resolution, mindfulness, commitment to one's company, and well being.
Shani Robins, Ph.D. pioneered the field of Wisdom TherapyTM in 1998. He is an instructor at Stanford University and U.C. Berkeley, is a licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY18795), and the founder and director of the Wisdom Therapy Institute since 2000 (www.wisdomtherapy.com). Dr. Robins applies Wisdom Therapy, Emotional Intelligence, and Mindfulness Meditation to corporate consulting (Yahoo!, American Express) demonstrating significant reductions in stress, anxiety, work place conflict, anger, aggression, and attrition and significant increases in well being, health, mindfulness and commitment to one’s company.
