Beyond the mind - Emotions and thoughts, reflected in dreams
The dreams are important resources for us to understand and work with our emotions and thoughts. When we have an emotional experience we may observe that there is a combination of feelings in the body and related thoughts in the mind. We feel sad and think how alone we are. This inseparable combination, is usually influencing our decisions and actions. Then we are happy with our choices or contrary we feel stuck because of our maladaptive emotions which may have an unconscious source. We can access the dream’s door and put emotions into words to see how adaptive or maladaptive they are for our life. Sometimes it can be a primary experience which created a negative belief and this leaded to a negative inner voice, accompanying our life, influencing our choices. The dream-work may facilitate the access to our intimate needs, to find alternatives, to access new possibilities.
